Rational or affectional

The people who think they are educated well are likely to behavior rationally. However, the rational behavior is not reliable sometimes. People's limits in terms of intelligence and information they collected prevent them from making a fair judgements. Sometimes, they hold an idea that their rational thinking will lead them to achieve career and life goals, leading them in the right direction. Actually, most of time, their behavior lead them to a dead end until they completely fail. When they realize it, it is time for them to leave this world.

This is because they have never realize there is something beyond their rational brain. They are love and God.

No matter how we excel in this world, we are human beings with so limited cognitive ability. In addition to our sinful nature, we tend to block ourselves from exploring more. I remember i tended to judge bible with my own intelligence. If something written in the bible seems like rational, we probably can accept it. Otherwise, i felt difficult to accept it. Gradually, i realized my limits and what i think is impossible does not mean it never happened. There are so many things in this world that seemed impossible, but happened.

Another example is about our gathering. This case really changed my perspective.
As many others, i used to very rational because i think i have so much knowledge and much experience. Therefore, i tended to select the people that have similar minds as me; and i also liked to join the group of people with the similar background. It is a little bit humiliating for me to stay in a group that is mostly made of women and children. I felt lonely and boring because i thought there was no any other people who can hold a meaningful discussion with me. Once time, i told my wife that i wanted to exit this group because of its boredom. God has gradually changed my mind and let me realize there is much more important thing than what i think of. That is love. I can not keep myself from thinking that who is the winner if rational fights against love. It is indeed that there is not so much meaningful discussion among this group; however, the leader of this group possess the most important nature, love. Think about a group of men who are supposedly knowledgeable and experience, they hold different perspective. They are likely to hold heated debate and discussion, which lead them to be against each other. Their intelligence, in the end, fool them, leading to negative consequence. However, if we have God and love, at least we will not go into that direction.
