Almost all the people have to encounter some periods when they are confused in front of intersections. The values is key to help them to go through the intersection and advance in a chosen direction. Some are likely to experience longer period than others due to many factors.
Money and materials pursuit could be the objective for many people. To select career and personal development have to be positive for their material objective. This sometimes makes things easier. However, so much consideration or vision for the far future could hinder the way leading to the quick decisions. In case every one is in the process of improving their ability to discern right and wrong, it is hard for them just follow the method which helped them to make decision in the past. In other words, the factors they take into consideration varies from time to time. Unfortunately, the introduction of new values is likely to make people in the middle way because they either could not abandon the old way or could not rely on the new way trustfully.
This is a painful process which is tougher to handle than just keeping going in a chosen direction.

Professor more for title
As more expose to professors around the world not only limited to Chinese ones, the facts have been proven that he title professor means more than the real knowledge. As known by many people, the academic is a two edged weapon which could be used as evil purpose or good deeds. There is no doubt that majority of people in this world have been struggling to gain knowledge to improve their quality of life, namely for good purpose. That is the only reason why we should be educated and be knowledgable, especially for the so called professors in universities. The academic is the tool, not the ultimate goal.
Being confused with the objective of academic activity or ignorance of the direction will lead to the meaninglessness of the knowledge or damage to the world. Many times when i hear the ignorance of the so called highly educated people to the basic values of human being and basic justice, I feel sad because the failure to realize the facts will make the world worse even though they are proud of their success in academics, financial and materials areas.
The independent thinking is key to judge if the the professor is the real academic.

Honor belongs to God
There are something happening in my life which is beyond my capability. Sometimes, we tend to focus more on our own work instead of the others causes that could be the main contributor or the key factor. As I realize and assure the existence of God and Lord, I realize some intelligence and factors that are far beyond our control. However, it is because of this factor we can have the ability to fulfill our will. Without the normal brain, it is impossible to even think or study at school. It is not the good idea to put a blind eye on the offerings from God just because our belongs from God also is the belonging of the people around us. Otherwise we narrow sight our and limit our intelligence.

Balance between overreaction and emotions
Being emotional could be viewed positive, sometimes also be regarded as negative reaction depending on the perspective and situations. For instance, hatred feeling towards the corrupt scandals is a kind of reflection of just and love to the victims. However, for others, they may think that kind of corruption and scandals have nothing to do with their life and should not be talked about emotionally.
Actually, no reaction or no emotion do not mean that they are more rational that the overactive people. Most cases, they are more likely failing to realize the seriousness of the scandals. They tend to regard and separate the scandals as the political issues which is almost irrelevant to their needs. Unfortunately, the failure of realization keep them away from being really concerned about the change of their life.
The common example should be the life of many immigrants. Generally, 95 percent of immigrants to the developed countries have been driven by something beyond the materials even though they probably look for the materialistic enjoyment. The factors, like salary difference, resource richness, credibility etc are attributed to the politics and values beyond of their mental reach. The most unfortunate thing is that they could be not able to realize that or reluctant to explore it in their life as they keep complaining all the way to death.

Intelligence too little to judge others
Like many people, i am often tempted by my sins inside to judge others based on some negative impression. Many times, I realized that suspending my judgement should be the best way and leave the judgement to my Lord. However, I failed many times. Today, I just learned the lessons from my car failure. I hate myself to devalue and belittle others even though they might be more friendly to me than others I might honor. That is stupid. Many times, It is the people I belittle really like to offer their help to me during my tough time, not other people.
I tend to be the person I hate, but fail to be the person I like.

Sad with Yinyin
The tragic incident took many lives including parents of the 2 years little girl, Yinyin. As most of things happened in China, time is the best way for the government to mitigate the anger and attention of the public. As people have been getting used to the mistreatment and wrongdoings of the government, they shift their concern to other entertaining issues instead of thinking over and taking lessons from the tragic incidents. As many months passed, the pictures of Yinyin on internet is still powerful enough for me to burst into tears. The stimulate my anger and hopelessness regarding to the fate of the nation. Compassion and sympathy is far from the remedy to cure the physical and psychological shock to the little girl. She is the victim of the system, but who is not the victim of the system.

据 说,本雅明曾经梦想写一本完全由引文所构成的著作,通过把马克思的语录重新组合而写成,就像蒙太奇捕获形象那样,使所有的意义都将得到确切的保留,只是加 以重新理解。我刚开始买书和读书的时候,就遇到了王小波。就像一个摘抄名言锦句的中学生,我甚至曾经试图编一本《王小波语录》。正如本雅明所想,用一篇几 乎由引文构成的文章来纪念王小波,似乎可以让我看到一个不一样的王小波。
米兰·昆德拉说:“真正的作家永远是一匹害群之马。”如果说余秋雨是文人中的政客,那么王蒙就是政客中的文人,他们都算不上是知识分子,王小波是一个真正 的知识分子。美国社会学家刘易斯·科塞说过,大学教授不一定是知识分子,知识分子必须是“为了思想而不是靠了思想而生活的人。”王小波则进一步指出:对一 位知识分子来说,成为思维的精英,比成为道德精英更为重要。
宁可鸣而死,不可默而生。权利就是一种话语权,话语产生权力。有人说,通往地狱的路是由无数沉默者铺成的,沉默就是放弃权力和权利。王小波说:再不说话, 人家都要把屎抹在你脸上了。于是王小波开始说话,“自从我辈成人以来,所见到的一切全是颠倒着的。在一个喧嚣的话语圈下面,始终有个沉默的大多数。既然精 神原子弹在一颗又一颗地炸着,哪里有我们说话的份?但我辈现在开始说话,以前说过的一切和我们都无关系——总而言之,是个一刀两断的意思。千里之行始于足 下,中国要有自由派,就从我辈开始。”
人人有权争胜负,无人有权论是非。如果说鲁迅是一个尼采主义者,那么王小波则是一个罗素主义者。1997年3月20日,王小波给即将出版的《我的精神家 园》写了自序。22天之后,这个怀有一颗宁静童心的中年人飘然而去。王小波说:我泄露了上帝的秘密。在后王小波时代,这篇文章被编入普通高中语文读本。
王小波一直是我书架旁的偶像。在某种意义上,王小波是我的一个理想和梦想,是我精神的楷模。我如此喜欢他的智慧和性情,如此理解他的幽默和绝望。我是如此 向往他清贫而宁静的自由:活过,爱过,写过;甚至,我希望能像他一样在未老之前死在自己的电脑边,而不是苟延残喘垂死挣扎地死在病床上……这才叫真正的人 生,这才叫真实的生活啊。王小波用他安祥而短暂的一生,证明了一个人在中国如何最大限度地保留有趣的自己,而不是出卖无趣的自己。
“在一个宽松的社会里,人们可以收获优雅,收获到精雕细刻的浪漫;在一个呆板的社会里,人们可以收获到幽默——起码是黑色的幽默。就是在我呆的这个社会 里,什么也收获不到,这可是让人吃惊的事情。”如果说苏格拉底是愤青的鼻祖的话,那么王小波就是当代中国愤青的领袖,是中国一代白领的精神兄长,《我的精 神家园》也是中国一代小资的精神家园。“朝闻道,夕死可矣”。王小波说:“我对自己的要求很低:我活在世上,无非想要明白这些道理,遇见些有趣的事。倘能 如我愿,我的一生就算成功。”
深受王小波启蒙影响的作家连岳说:“王小波写的东西并不多,但足够证明我原来生活的形态与脑子是坏的。王小波说的是常识,这并不能降低他的地位,把常识说得好,反而是功德无量的事情。这就是所谓的启蒙,重要的思想,只有当它成为常识时,才更加重要。”
在一个前互联网的时代,王小波感叹,出书比写书难得多。他的愿望是他的作品可以拥有读者,这愿望竟然被作为遗愿实现了。作为一个大众写作时代的预言家,他 在《白银时代》中这样解释一个人写作的原因:“假如你懒得做饭,可以喝生鸡蛋,喝4个可以顶一顿饭;假如你没烟抽,可以在床底下找烟头,烟头太干了就在烟 纸上舔一舔。有一件事我不教你就会——当你百无聊赖时,就会坐在桌前,拿起一支笔往纸上写,也可能是写日记,也可能是写诗,但是不管你起初是写什么,最后 一定会写小说。不管你有没有才能,最后一定能写好——只要你足够无聊、足够无奈。最后你还会变成这方面的天才,没有任何人比得上你——这可能是因为无聊, 也可能是因为喝生鸡蛋,也可能是因为抽干烟屁。假如邻居打老婆,吵得你写不下去,你就喊:打!打!使劲打!打死她!——他就不会打了……”

古来圣贤皆寂寞,是真名士自风流。王小波是个真正的名士和隐士,他推崇尊重,包括对人的尊重、对智慧的尊重。对经历过文革劫难和中国教育体制双重“锤炼” 的当代中国人来说,王小波是现代文明和理性智慧的启蒙者。他在犬儒化反智化的当下,更显得像个彻头彻尾的异教徒。王小波以他的真诚和智性,刺穿了传统专制 文化所谓道貌岸然的画皮——对专制思想来说,体现生命本质的人性从来都是洪水猛兽。
王小波始终对启蒙这个词保持着警惕。他蔑视一切权威和精英主义,始终保持着一种平视的平民精神。这种平民精神在中国作家群体中是独一无二的。即使出身卑微 的许多“农民的儿子”,其“发达了”的精英姿态仍随处可见。李银河将王小波称作“骑士”,实际是褒扬他的守望精神,守望一个神圣的精神家园。“一个人只拥 有此生是不够的,他还应该拥有诗意的世界!”王小波认为,这种诗意是建立在智慧和自由之上的诗意。
“智慧本身是好的,有一天我们都会死去,追求智慧的道路还会有人在走着。死掉以后的事我看不到。但我活着的时候,想到这件事,心里就高兴。”王小波以他的温存和得体,为我们打通了一条智慧的通道。
“我认为低智、偏执、思想贫乏是最大的邪恶。”王小波为我们塑造了“一头特立独行的猪”,誓死捍卫自己的尊严与权利。后王小波时代,不乏有人做“王小波门 下走狗”,这无疑是王小波所反对的,在王小波看来,独立与理性比什么都重要。拥趸与情感往往使人智力低下,狂热的粉丝与暴怒的群氓从来都是反智的产物。
“李卫公死了以后,红拂也不想活了,她想自杀死掉,但是大唐朝制度严明,一切都要纳入计划,所以她每天都要往各种衙门跑,给自己办理殉夫的手续。官员们对她很客气,对她的打算也很赞成,但是还是要她等指标……”王小波在《红拂夜奔》中如是说。
“我看到一个无智的世界,但是智慧在混沌中存在;我看到一个无性的世界,但是性爱在混沌中存在;我看到一个无趣的世界,但是有趣在混沌中存在”。王小波是 一个追求有趣的人,有趣的人是会死的,而且会比无趣的人死得还快,因为活得太长本身就很无趣。王小波曾经讲过一个草泥马的故事,故事里有一个有趣的长工和 无趣的地主。在后王小波时代,草泥马已经成为一种最知名的中国动物。
“立志写作在我身上是个不折不扣的减熵过程。……我相信我自己有文学才能,我应该做这件事。”王小波说,这个世界自始至终只有两种人:一种是像我这样的 人,一种是不像我这样的人。后王小波时代,也是一个韩寒时代。没有儿子的王小波殒命之际,与王小波同龄的作家韩仁均,将“韩寒”的笔名转交给了儿子,16 岁的“韩寒”遂成为“天才”。如果王小波是代表智慧的知识分子,那么“韩寒”则是代表名利的商业偶像。前者意味着寒室与失败,后者带来豪宅与成功,这就是 中国的阴阳两界。在一个陷入思想与道德双重贫困的中国,一个“不像”王小波的韩寒被群氓奉为“青年领袖”和偶像,也被精英们奉为“当代鲁迅”和“公知”, 他甚至为写作而感到“后悔”。
王小波无疑是中国最早开始电子化写作的先锋,甚至自己编写了电脑程序。他没有手稿,几乎所有的“遗作”,都在一台破旧的586电脑中。后王小波时代已经是 一个彻底的电脑时代,但韩寒却要处处“晒”手稿,让人分不清作家还是书法家。造化弄人,这个世界并没有变得更好,现实比写作更荒诞,因而也更黑色幽默。当 “四两拔干片”与“破着头发”成为典故,“光明与磊落”无疑使皇帝新装臻于完美。
如今,2010已成往事。王小波早已在一个互联网前夜心痛地死于书桌,如同战士死于沙场。
在“阳光灿烂的日子”里,“每个人都觉得自己长脑子是多余的”。作为一个生动清醒的人,作为一个文革炼狱的幸存者,王小波曾经热烈自由而坚韧真诚地活过 ——满怀慈悲与温柔:“强忍悲痛,活在这个世上。”即使生命如彗星般短暂,也是那些从相同年代苟活(像狗一样活)下来的、或沉默的、或装神弄鬼的犬儒们所 不能相提并论。
如果说王朔是一个伪善的破坏者,那么王小波则依靠文学的真与美,解构了一个非人的传统,并且真诚地重建人性。王小波时刻提醒人们,理性与逻辑的重要。从现 实的疼痛感来说,王小波之后的中国鲜有后来者。李银河说王小波是自由思想家,我倒认为他和海子是一样的人,只是一个诚实纯洁、不愿撒谎的孩子。王小波说的 其实都只是一些常识,而我们都已经失去了这种本来的童真和勇气。在忘却现实的荒诞与疼痛之后,我们都沦为心灵与良知的叛徒。
王小波在《一只特立独行的猪》中说:“我已经四十岁了,除了这只猪,还没见过谁敢于如此无视对生活的设置。相反,我倒见过很多想要设置别人生活的人,还有 对被设置的生活安之若素的人。因为这个原故,我一直怀念这只特立独行的猪。”没有了那只特立独行的猪,这个世界只剩下一个完美的动物庄园。
“文字是用来读的,不是用来看的。”王小波是孤独的,王小波的孤独是喧哗和运动背景下的孤独,这种孤独既令人绝望,又催发希望,王小波的写作一直徘徊在绝 望和希望之间,这种暖味是王小波的重要特牲之一,他告诉我们这个世界的不确定性,以及人的无限可能性。对于作为知识分子的王小波,至少有一点是确定的,那 就是他的博学、才华和敏锐的理性思辨,正是这种来自思想的光华,留给了我们关于一个当代中国与世界的巨大背景和思考空间。
“人间已无梁任公。”在《红拂夜奔》的最后,王小波颇为伤感地慨叹道:“一切都在无可挽回地走向庸俗。”没有王小波的时代注定少了许多趣味,但人们迎来了 互联网,这是一场草根的狂欢。在一个前所未有、物质丰裕的暴富时代,思想成为人类最后的奢侈品。人们面对思想和艺术时会问:这可以换来钱吗?欲望与成功的 时代,名与利正横扫一切。王小波之后,中国不再有名士,但不乏沽名钓誉的犬儒与流氓。

“君子谋道不谋食。”卢梭一生以抄乐谱为生;梵高生前几乎没有卖出一幅画;卡夫卡只是一个平庸的公务员;本雅明承认:“有很多地方我可以挣最低限度的钱,
也有很多地方我可以靠最低限度的钱过活,但没有一个地方可以让我同时做到这两点”。王小波生前只出版了《黄金时代》,书名还被篡改为《王二风流史》。即使
这样,书也没卖出多少。王小波甚至考取了货车的驾照:“有一天实在混不下去了,就靠这个吧。”在自由的王小波背后,是李银河默默的支持,这就是所谓爱情。
正如卡夫卡所说:“任何一个在活着的时候不能应付生活的人都需要用一只手遮挡住笼罩他命运的绝望……但他可以用另一只手草草记下在废墟上看到的一切,因为
他和别人看到的不一样,而且看到的更多;总之,虽然他在有生之年就已死去,但却是真正的获救者。”王小波生前,李银河对别人介绍说:他叫王小波,是我的丈
夫,是写小说的。王小波死后,李银河常常自我介绍说:我是作家王小波的妻子。从生前的默默无闻、自费出书、像农民工一样背着自己的书到处兜售,到死后出版
社热抢,书商将王小波的书作为摇钱树,甚至连他的情书都不放过。王小波似乎秉承了本雅明的精神和命运,如果说本雅明是“欧洲最后一位知识分子”,那么王小
波就是“中国最后一位知识分子”。当那些生前声名赫的名流显贵早已湮没在历史尘埃中时,死后的王小波和本雅明一样声名鹊起,这既是一种王小波式的嘲讽,也
算是一种本雅明式的历史公正。梁文道说,王小波是一种炒作起来的神话。我则认为,王小波是我们这个文明古国最残忍最荒诞的思想标签。

“智慧本身是好的,有一天我们都会死去,追求智慧的道路还会有人在走着。死掉以后的事我看不到。但我活着的时候,想到这件事,心里就高兴。”王小波以他的温存和得体,为我们打通了一条智慧的通道。
“我认为低智、偏执、思想贫乏是最大的邪恶。”王小波为我们塑造了“一头特立独行的猪”,誓死捍卫自己的尊严与权利。后王小波时代,不乏有人做“王小波门 下走狗”,这无疑是王小波所反对的,在王小波看来,独立与理性比什么都重要。拥趸与情感往往使人智力低下,狂热的粉丝与暴怒的群氓从来都是反智的产物。
“李卫公死了以后,红拂也不想活了,她想自杀死掉,但是大唐朝制度严明,一切都要纳入计划,所以她每天都要往各种衙门跑,给自己办理殉夫的手续。官员们对她很客气,对她的打算也很赞成,但是还是要她等指标……”王小波在《红拂夜奔》中如是说。
“我看到一个无智的世界,但是智慧在混沌中存在;我看到一个无性的世界,但是性爱在混沌中存在;我看到一个无趣的世界,但是有趣在混沌中存在”。王小波是 一个追求有趣的人,有趣的人是会死的,而且会比无趣的人死得还快,因为活得太长本身就很无趣。王小波曾经讲过一个草泥马的故事,故事里有一个有趣的长工和 无趣的地主。在后王小波时代,草泥马已经成为一种最知名的中国动物。
“立志写作在我身上是个不折不扣的减熵过程。……我相信我自己有文学才能,我应该做这件事。”王小波说,这个世界自始至终只有两种人:一种是像我这样的 人,一种是不像我这样的人。后王小波时代,也是一个韩寒时代。没有儿子的王小波殒命之际,与王小波同龄的作家韩仁均,将“韩寒”的笔名转交给了儿子,16 岁的“韩寒”遂成为“天才”。如果王小波是代表智慧的知识分子,那么“韩寒”则是代表名利的商业偶像。前者意味着寒室与失败,后者带来豪宅与成功,这就是 中国的阴阳两界。在一个陷入思想与道德双重贫困的中国,一个“不像”王小波的韩寒被群氓奉为“青年领袖”和偶像,也被精英们奉为“当代鲁迅”和“公知”, 他甚至为写作而感到“后悔”。
王小波无疑是中国最早开始电子化写作的先锋,甚至自己编写了电脑程序。他没有手稿,几乎所有的“遗作”,都在一台破旧的586电脑中。后王小波时代已经是 一个彻底的电脑时代,但韩寒却要处处“晒”手稿,让人分不清作家还是书法家。造化弄人,这个世界并没有变得更好,现实比写作更荒诞,因而也更黑色幽默。当 “四两拔干片”与“破着头发”成为典故,“光明与磊落”无疑使皇帝新装臻于完美。

在生命的最后,王小波正在写一篇幻想小说——《2010》,他在小说中预言了一个2010年的中国:这个国家只有两种人,一种是数盲,一种是非数盲。数盲
因为什么都不懂所以都成了统治者,非数盲因为能干只能做被统治者。“我对荒唐的理解是这样的:它和疼痛大有关系。我们的生活一直在疼痛之中,但在一般条件
下疼得不厉害,不足以发人深省……疼痛的真意:你的生命受到了威胁。轻度的疼痛是威胁的开始,中度的是威胁严重,等到要命的疼时,已经无路可逃了……”
“我还要说,数盲把一切有危险的东西都拿走了,也就拿去了活下去的理由。等到明白了这一点,我们就会有最大的危险性——这是对他们而言。”如今,2010已成往事。王小波早已在一个互联网前夜心痛地死于书桌,如同战士死于沙场。
在“阳光灿烂的日子”里,“每个人都觉得自己长脑子是多余的”。作为一个生动清醒的人,作为一个文革炼狱的幸存者,王小波曾经热烈自由而坚韧真诚地活过 ——满怀慈悲与温柔:“强忍悲痛,活在这个世上。”即使生命如彗星般短暂,也是那些从相同年代苟活(像狗一样活)下来的、或沉默的、或装神弄鬼的犬儒们所 不能相提并论。
如果说王朔是一个伪善的破坏者,那么王小波则依靠文学的真与美,解构了一个非人的传统,并且真诚地重建人性。王小波时刻提醒人们,理性与逻辑的重要。从现 实的疼痛感来说,王小波之后的中国鲜有后来者。李银河说王小波是自由思想家,我倒认为他和海子是一样的人,只是一个诚实纯洁、不愿撒谎的孩子。王小波说的 其实都只是一些常识,而我们都已经失去了这种本来的童真和勇气。在忘却现实的荒诞与疼痛之后,我们都沦为心灵与良知的叛徒。
王小波在《一只特立独行的猪》中说:“我已经四十岁了,除了这只猪,还没见过谁敢于如此无视对生活的设置。相反,我倒见过很多想要设置别人生活的人,还有 对被设置的生活安之若素的人。因为这个原故,我一直怀念这只特立独行的猪。”没有了那只特立独行的猪,这个世界只剩下一个完美的动物庄园。
“文字是用来读的,不是用来看的。”王小波是孤独的,王小波的孤独是喧哗和运动背景下的孤独,这种孤独既令人绝望,又催发希望,王小波的写作一直徘徊在绝 望和希望之间,这种暖味是王小波的重要特牲之一,他告诉我们这个世界的不确定性,以及人的无限可能性。对于作为知识分子的王小波,至少有一点是确定的,那 就是他的博学、才华和敏锐的理性思辨,正是这种来自思想的光华,留给了我们关于一个当代中国与世界的巨大背景和思考空间。
“人间已无梁任公。”在《红拂夜奔》的最后,王小波颇为伤感地慨叹道:“一切都在无可挽回地走向庸俗。”没有王小波的时代注定少了许多趣味,但人们迎来了 互联网,这是一场草根的狂欢。在一个前所未有、物质丰裕的暴富时代,思想成为人类最后的奢侈品。人们面对思想和艺术时会问:这可以换来钱吗?欲望与成功的 时代,名与利正横扫一切。王小波之后,中国不再有名士,但不乏沽名钓誉的犬儒与流氓。
15年来,王小波逐渐成为一个有关拒绝与思考的传说,他只在我们心中微微地坏笑——“人类宁愿死去也不愿意思考”(罗素)。4月是鲜花迷离的时节,非常适合怀念不在人间、不在中国、不在现场的王小波:“走在寂静里,走在天上,而阴茎倒挂下来……”

Challenges for Group Work
Group work is challenging if the group members are not good enough to be committed and active. To be successful, the group should have a leader who should be capable of coordinating and be familiar with the project. It is so important for each group member to follow the rules and reach the agreement. The disciplining should be applied to promote the commitment and punish the laziness. Otherwise, the group work is likely to fall into chaos.
Communication and positive attitudes are key to the effectiveness of group work. The level of ability to carry out some work differs within members. In order to reach some agreement to have the work done, some members have to listen others' advice and digest. It is essential that some people have to compromise in terms of their own perspective and plan. The disaster happens when some members who are not active, lazy, disable, and inexperienced show disrespect to some member who really commit time and effort on the project. The are not willing to listen, to think and accept others' diligent and reasonable work just because they do not want to feel inferior to other members. In this case, the work could either fail without any outcome or produce the bad quality work by the good compromise the bad.

LOVE IS CONTAGIOUS
love is the best driving force for people to interact with others and to enjoy the process. The perspective is able to totally change the way of which people choose to live in the world. Some people who already possess the fortune to support their whole life find it hard to lead a happy life. Oppositely, the poor in terms of material possession could have the life the rich want to have. Therefore, there is a fact that have encountered many people. What is the objective to live, being slavery or being happy? Unfortunately, many people do not have chance to realize this question or to think or to answer it in their lives.

余 杰:破解共产党与孔夫子的伪联盟
——评庄万寿《中国民族主义与文化霸权》
与庄万寿一样,刘晓波思考的重点,是人何以为人,人的自由、尊严和权利为何不可剥夺;而不 是作为“中国人”,应当具有哪些“中国人的特性”。刘晓波强调:“在中国,很少有人强调作为一个人的选择,倒是天天能听到作为炎黄子孙的选择,这样,抽象 的民族群体代替了具体的个体,不是每个中国人作为人,经过自己思考后的选择,而是中华民族这个抽象的群体在替每个中国人选择。这与其说是爱国主义、民族自 尊,不如说是民族虚荣对个体自由的扼杀。”显而易见,这也是庄万寿全书的一条主线。

Compassion could be the similar characteristic for a certain group of people; however, political difference could separate them from each other causing conflicts. This is in part caused by the ability to think over the something which have confronted them for many years.
Unfortunately, the respected thinkers with so much common in humanistic value towards democracy and divinity even could not reach agreements on certain points. Generally speaking, they are consciously or unconsciously restricted by the education they have received. In addition to the limited intelligence of human being, they have not realized the lack of thoughts over some issue. For instance, nationality plays the dominant role in forming people's thinking over the last centuries in China. The have been toughted by their ancesters and teachers that being proud of being a Chinese is necessary merit for every Chinese people. Even the people who were mistreat and tortured by the ruler have the overwhelming idea that they should never forget being a Chinese even though they have been staying in America for many years. It seems that they do not have be responsible for being an American citizen and they should be a Chinese forever.
This is a pity because they could never realize a fact that the reason to create a country is to serve the a group of people better. Therefore human being themselves is the core of the world under God other than a country or a nation. Overemphsizing the group or a nation was the way of the ruler in the past to teach them to serve the centralized authority. In fact, they have been brain washed for many year to give up their basic rights as a human being to be a part of group to serve the one figure who is the king. However, many educated people still fail to realize that.

Pray for Godly heart
Our hearts are blessed and gifted by our creator, God. The heart which is unique to everyone acts as the compass in our life. The evil heart lead to the the evil value and should be against the good and have their own way to the hell. In contrast, the kind heart enables us to sail to the lamp poll which directs us the position of God, our creator.
It is no doubt that surrounding environment have significant influence on the formation of our personality and values. However, the core of every individual is the identifiable stone installed by God before we were born. The heart, for some people is full of love and sympathy and appreciation. Some is filled with complaints, injustice, materialism. This deviation causes the difference of lives.

蒋介石心中的痛:留守大陆学者的结局
鲜为人知的蒋介石“抢救大陆学人计划 ”

“抢救大陆学人”计划名单上几乎全是清一色当时国内卓有成就的杰出知识份子。
1948年12月初,国共内战接近尾声,战局对国民政府十分不利。时任国民政府教育部代理部长的陈雪屏,奉蒋介石之命由南京紧急飞往北平,召集北大清华校 长梅贻琦、胡适等教授开会,秘密商讨“抢救学人”的实施办法。与此同时,蒋介石亲自指派的飞机也冒着解放军的炮火飞抵北平,停留在北平南苑机场等待被“抢 救者”登机南飞。
“抢救大陆学人”计划由蒋介石手谕指令傅斯年与朱家骅负责制定,并在具体执行和实施上由傅斯年、陈雪屏与蒋经国三人组成小组,负责具体“抢救”事宜的研究谋划和具体操作。
按照蒋介石的指令,此计划中以下学人是要必须“抢救”出来经南京送赴台湾的:一是大陆各大专院校的负责首长;二是原中央研究院院士;三是因政治原因必须限 令离开大陆高级知识份子;四是在国内外学术上有杰出贡献者,等等。于是,一份经傅斯年、陈雪屏和蒋经国三人共同商议拟定的“抢救”的名单很快出炉了,名单 上几乎全是清一色当时国内卓有成就的杰出知识份子。
“抢救大陆学人”计划结局
然而,在北平的大多数卓有成就的杰出知识份子人各有志,许多人不准备去南京跟蒋介石赴台,而是愿意留在大陆。1948年12月14日,“抢救大陆学人”的 飞机在北平南苑机场等候了两天时间,才有胡适、毛子水、钱思亮、英千里、张佛泉等少数著名教授登机,大部份机舱座位都被空闲著。12月21日,第二批被 “抢救”的学人也只有清华大学校长梅贻琦以及李书华、袁同礼、杨武之等20几位教授。到达南京后的梅贻琦,当着蒋介石的面似乎该为不能多载几人前来南京而 表示惋惜。
据资料统计,当时国民政府中央研究院共拥有81位院士,仅有10几位院士跟随蒋介石去了台湾,而有60余位院士选择继续在大陆。选择离开的知识份子是少数,大多数还是选择留下来。
比如,北大文学院长汤用彤就被列为“抢救”名单,但他没有选择离开,胡适离开后曾写信劝其南下,并派人送来两张机票,汤用彤依然不为所动。
辅仁大学校长陈垣决心留下来,胡适邀他同机飞走时被他断然拒绝。在致胡适的公开信中,陈垣天真地认为:“在北平解放的前夕,南京政府三番两次地用飞机来 接,我想虽然你和陈寅恪先生已经走了,但青年的学生们却用行动告诉了我,他们在等待光明,他们在迎接新的社会,我知道新力量已经成长……”
据中国科学院估算,当时散居海外的中国科学家大约有5000余人,到1956年底有2000余名科学家陆续返回大陆,但后来的遭遇大概是他们没有预料到的。
大陆学人对“新政府”抱幻想的原因
当时中国绝大多数知识份子之所以选择留在大陆,以及后来大批留学欧美的科学家放弃舒适环境和优厚待遇,毅然回国,其原因很多。原因之一是,这些优秀的中华 儿女都满怀着对这片苦难深重的土地无法自拔地爱,都怀抱着对国计民生地殷切关怀,或是深深眷恋着这片土地,或是对国民党统治感到失望等。
但是,促成他们留守大陆或是回国的一个很大的原因就是,他们对共产党印象颇好,对共产党的统治抱有希望和幻想,那么,这种希望和幻想是从哪里来的呢?
1947年1月,国共双方在前线打得正欢,《新华日报》却在国统区庆祝了创刊9周年,也无人阻拦,郭沫若、张澜、沈钧儒、黄炎培、陶行知、许广平、陈铭枢 等等所谓民主人士纷纷写贺信贺词,说它是“人民号角,民主喉舌”。《新华日报》,1939年创刊,中共中央的机关报,自创刊后一直在国民党统治区公开发 行。针对允许其自由办报的国民党政府,该报采取“愤怒控诉,彻底否定,置之死地”的态度,坚持不懈地骂了近十年,公开号召工人和农民一起推翻国民党,甚至 公开号召国民党军队站出来对政府反戈一击。
让我们摘录共产党机关报《新华日报》的部份内容,就可以得到问题的答案:
“他们以为中国实现民主政治,不是今天的事,而是若干年以后的事,他们希望中国人民知识与教育程度提高到欧美资产阶级民主国家那样,再来实现民主政治……正是在民主制度之下更容易教育和训练民众。”——《新华日报》1939年2月25日
“有人说:共产党要夺取政权,要建立共产党的一党专制,这是一种恶意的造谣和污蔑……只要一有可能,当人民的组织已有相当的程度,人民能否选举自己所愿意 的人来管理自己事情的时候,共产党就毫无保留地还政于民,将政权全部交给人民所选举的政府管理。共产党并不愿意包办政府……”——刘少奇,1940
“人民的自由出版是近代文明的道路。它需要文明的创造,它需要文明的批判和自由研究——健全的文明都容许批评,它没有什么经不起文明批评之理——真正的出 版法以人民的自由出版为常道,因为人民的自由出版是思想信仰、良心、学术、言论自由集中的镜。”——《新华日报》1944年社论
“中国人民文盲太多,进行选举时非常麻烦,这也是事实。……选举的能否进行和能否进行得好,关键在于人民有没有发表意见和反对他人意见的权利,在于人民能 不能真正无拘束的拥护某个人和反对某个人,至于选举的技术问题并不是无法解决的……”——《人民文化水平低,就不能实行民选吗?》1944年2月2 日
“首先要说明,候选人决不是指派的,而是由人民提出的,在乡选中每一个选民都可以单独提出一个候选人。在县选中每十个选民可以连合提出一个候选人。选举的 方法是分成两种:一种是识字的人,写选票;一种是不识字的人,则以投豆子代替写选票。”——《新华日报》1944年2月2日社论
“我们尊重并且愿意接受美国朋友善意的批评和建议,正如我们对孤立主义提出批评,应受到尊重一样,这也是从彼此激励互求进步以加强两国人民的合作出发的。我们丝毫也不心存疑惧,认为美国朋友的批评是对中国内政的干涉。”——《新华日报》1944年3月15日社论
“我们并不需要、亦不实行无产阶级专政。我们并不主张集体化,也不反对个人的活动——事实上,我们鼓励竞争和私人企业。在互惠的条件下,我们允许并欢迎外国对我们的地区作工商业的投资……我们相信着,并且实行着民主政治。”——《新华日报》1945年4月19日
“他们说这一套(指民主)都是外国人的东西,不适用于中国……顽固派还在用八十年前用过的方法来反对真理……民主制度比不民主制度更好,这和机器工业比手 工业生产更好一样,在外国如此,在中国也如此。而且也只能有在某国发展起来的民主,却没有只适用于某国的民主。”——《新华日报》,1944年5月 17日

1945年9月27日《新华日报》二版头条刊登毛泽东答记者问,标题是《毛泽东同志答路透社记者中国需要和平建国》:“自由民主的中国将是这样一个国家, 它的各级政府直至中央政府都是由普通平等无记名的选举所产生,并向选举它们的人民负责。它将实现孙中山先生三民主义,林肯的民有民治民享的原则与罗斯福的 四大自由。它将保证国家的独立、团结、统一及各民主强国的合作,这里不需要橡皮子弹。”
“罗斯福总统说过:‘吾人历史上无时不表现美国人民准备作自由人民,且为此权利而奋斗’现在,也只有集合全世界爱好自由的人民的力量来奋斗,才能怀着信心 瞻望将来,让全世界所有各国人民,都可以自由生活,不受暴政摧残,而凭他们多种多样的愿望和自由的良心而生活。”——《新华日报》1945年4月 13日

留守大陆学人的结局
那么那些留在大陆的学人们,等待他们最后的结局是什么呢?限于文章篇幅,这里只摘录部份留在大陆知识份子的结局。
一代大师陈寅恪,他学贯中西,通晓十余种语言,甚至包括梵文、西夏文和突厥文,被称为“中国最博学之人”;文革开始后,他家被大字报覆蓋,远望如白色棺 材;红卫兵还把几个高音喇叭放于其床头,使双目失明且患心脏病的他彻底崩溃。去世前一天下午,气脉已竭的他还要“口头交代”,他说“我如在死囚牢中”,留 下了“涕泣对牛衣”的诗句。
曾昭抡,曾国藩侄重孙,与妻子俞大絪,都是民国知名学者,1949年两人滞留于香港,蒋介石欲抢救二人去台湾,两人断然拒绝,归来报国。文革时红卫兵将俞 大絪教授上衣剥除,用皮带死命抽打,俞教授悲愤难抑,是夜仰药自尽。4个月后曾昭抡也被含冤折磨死,兴盛百年的曾氏传承,至此香断。
胡思杜,胡适幼子。北京沦陷前夕,蒋介石派专机接胡适,胡思杜不愿随行,说:“我又没有做什么有害他们的事,他们不会把我怎么样。”1950年,胡思杜发 表《对我的父亲胡适的批判》,骂胡适是“帝国主义走狗及人民公敌”。1957年,胡思杜被划为右派,“畏罪上吊自杀”。胡适直到1962年病逝也不知其子 已先他而去。
在一次批判大会上,已经72岁的大师吴宓被勒令下跪,跪了两个多小时。批斗会结束后,有人偷偷问他身体可吃得消,他说“跪着比站着好些”。到批林批孔时,吴宓不肯批判孔子,说“没有孔子,中国仍在混沌之中”,并说“宁愿杀头也不批孔”,被打成“现行反革命”。
刘盼遂,北师大中文系教授,著名古典文学专家、古典文献学家、语言学家。1925年,清华国学研究院第一届招生,以一甲名次考入,师从王国维、梁启超、陈 寅恪。1928年毕业后执教于北京女师、清华大学、燕京、辅仁大学。46年起任北师大教授。1966年8月被红卫兵打死。
潜艇专家、船舶工程专家王荣璸,第一代潜艇研发核心,曾在英德美三国学习,1949年积极参加“反搬运反疏散反破坏”斗争,留住了许多本想前往台湾的技术 人员,1969年被打为走资派、反动学术权威、美苏双重特务,关入牛棚,遭残酷批斗和抄家。1938年冒生命危险从德国带回国的潜艇资料底片也被抄走遗 失。
1975年9月15日,漫画大师丰子恺含冤去世。他在文革中被诬为“反动学术权威”、“反革命黑画家”,遭严重迫害。如《昨日豆花棚下过,忽然迎面好风 吹》一画,被认为是欢迎蒋反攻大陆。“好风”者,好消息也。《炮弹作花瓶,人世无战争》本倡导和平,结果被认为是迎合日本帝国主义和国民党反动派的需要。
萧光琰,化学家。建国后最早从事石油化学研究的科学家。他1920年就移居美国,读了博士并工作。1949年,他花几千美元购买翻印器材,花一年时间蒐 集、翻印和整理他认为祖国需要的资料,然后几经波折回到国内,在文革中被关押,遭遇日以即夜的残酷殴打和侮辱,后自杀身亡。三天后,其妻子和15岁的女儿 自杀。
董铁宝,力学家、计算数学家,中国计算机研制和断裂力学研究的先驱之一。抗日时曾冒着日军轰炸参加抢修滇缅公路桥梁,1945年赴美获博士学位,后参与第 一代电子计算机eniac的设计编程。1956年放弃一切,绕道欧洲,花费三个月辗转回国,任教北大,在1968年清阶运动中被指控为特务,隔离审查,上 吊身亡。
周寿宪,1951年26岁时在美国获博士学位,并留美从事研究工作,1955年冲破阻挠回国,任职于清华,参与筹建计算机专业,是中国计算机科学的创建人 之一。文革中被送到江西鲤鱼洲清华五七干校,被长期摧残后患上精神病,但军宣队员说他是装的,常拳打脚踢谩骂侮辱,后因病情严重送回北京,1976 年跳楼自杀
虞光裕,中国航空科学元勋,曾在美国和英国飞机工厂从事设计工作。1949年拒绝赴台,辗转香港和南朝鲜,历时三个月艰难回国。1956年成功主持研制中 国第一台喷气发动机,并主持建设中国第一个航空发动机试验基地。文革遭迫害,在车间劳改,拆卸旧锅炉时被跌落的通风管道砸死。
钱晋,1944年毕业于北大,领导研制成功多种高级炸药、塑料粘结炸药,为两弹一星的研制作出巨大贡献。文革时被打为反革命,被逼交代子虚乌有的 “国民党西北派遣军”问题。当时有两个口号:“会英文的就是美国特务,会俄文的就是苏联特务”,钱晋拒不承认自己是特务,结果被活活打死。
詹安泰,古典文学家,书法家,词学造诣最深,有“南詹北夏,一代词宗”称誉,任教于中大。1957年被打为右派,文革遭批斗,多年文稿被烧毁,其子曾每天 偷藏几张手稿带出去埋在地下,保住少数心血。1967年4月淋巴癌复发,医院不肯医治,凄凉离世,家人随后被中大赶至集体宿舍居住,其两室藏书后被贱卖。
董坚毅,哈佛大学博士,52年回国,55年支援大西北。57年被定为右派送夹边沟劳教。60年饥荒袭来,董亦不能幸免。其妻顾晓颖(也为留美生)来探视, 待寻得其遗体时,周身皮肉已被割食一空,仅剩头颅挂在骨架之上。夹边沟劳教人员2800多人,饿死2100多人,死难者掩埋草率,累累白骨外露绵延两公 里。

Right or Wrong?
For one thing, there could be many perspectives which can simplify or complicate issues. To find a job here is easy for some but difficult for others. To make some decisions is also easy for some, but difficult for others. People choose their careers generally based on their values and their priorities. Some people prefer money to relationship. Some can realize their pursuit and value and try their best to fulfill their objectives. However, some never have chance to know their pursuit. What they have done or are doing or will do is from others perspective. They never think about their internal needs and what is really valuable. They do what most people think they should do. One day they will be disappointed or can not be satisfied with their pursuit. Unfortunitely, they are unlikely to think over why this situation is caused.
I am one of them, but I try my best not to follow. That is a difficult process.

Two years
There have been two years since we landed in Canada. I can clearly remember that day when I was filled with uncertainty and curiosity. Everything is difficult for me and I even did not how to deal with something happening to me in the next days. I was picked up by a man who I contacted on internet. Apart from him, there was no body in Canada i know. I remember I was so sensitive that the words from anybody can have very serious and consequential impact on my mood and my decision. What I have was that I hold the belief from my inside, but i was not sure the reality really match my thoughts well.

Enviornmental impact on people
Change of environment have been proven to have impact on peoples' personality development.Generally speaking, people tend to fit in the group where they grow up. For instance, women or men follow the trend to judge people based on their appearance. People with poor quality clothing could be despised and disrespected. Therefore, more and more people are the victims of this abnormal attitudes and focus on the external quality instead of internal quality, like love and insight.
This difference have been amplified as our immigrants from China back to China for a short trip. At the beginning of the immigrant life, most of them do not have time and effort to focus on their appearance. The have to earn money to make a living here. In addition, people in the western culture focus more on the behavior and etiquette of people in contrast to people from some developing countries. Gradually over time, the new immigrants have become the old immigrant and become the part of the western culture without consciousness. At this point, they have money but at the same time their attitude have been changed by working and living here. However, backing to their origin country reminds them of the attitude they had before.

Dilemma
Sometimes, more choice ahead means no choice. I have been confused for long time since landing here two years ago. Initially, to be a medical physicist is my dream career mainly because I can continue my physics interest. Unfortunately, that way has been proven two hard and unrealistic to me and my family. Departing from the most interested career means almost every direction ahead of me could be my choice. There are balance among different directions and it is very hard to distinct one from each other. Each has its cons and pros.
Gradually, I feel the words I read on a website is right for the university teacher as an immigrant. It is hard because there is no hope to be a professor here and it is hard to find a professional job in the industry here. We are too capable or incapable that we can do anything or can not do anything.

They Mighty God and Tiny Creature
Frogs inside a well are not able to know more about the sky. They assume that the sky above them is all the world they can image. Therefore, they tend to deny any statement about something beyond the piece of the sky. This is a pity.
There is more hope for a fool than a man who think he is intelligent enough to know everything. I have to admit that I used to be somewhat ignorant thinking there should be NO God in this world. I came to this conclusion because I did not have opportunity to realize how tiny and how limit our intelligence is as the human being. After I have chance to build my faith in Christianity, the exploration into reality and God give me more insight to the world. The amazing world that covers from the little cells to the whole universe makes me humble. When I have more knowledge about the creation of God, I could not control myself to thank and appreciate His work.
The passionate speech by Louie Giglio is the gift from God to every body who wants to pursue his words and his work. In my opinion, neither the so called "atheist" spend time to gain more knowledge about the world, nor do they have very hard heart to believe the existence of the creature. Otherwise there is no way to explain that they deny there is a painter to draw a picture when they view the amazing work.
